Corn farmer’s ‘candy combine’ is a huge hit for community
With Halloween just around the corner, fall festivals can be found in small towns all across rural America. Many of those fall festivals include a parade with lots of unique floats. However, this float is one-of-a-kind. Tom Konz, a farmer from Minnesota, turned his old 1967 John Deere combine into a candy dispenser, also called the “candy combine,” to celebrate his small town.
The happiness from the kids — and let’s be honest adults — make Konz grin from ear to ear (pun intended). While running the candy combine doesn’t pay the bills, it brings Konz great happiness.
