Farmer’s field used for bog snorkeling competition

· April 11, 2017

Looking for a way to get people out to the farm? You could always follow the British and host a bog snorkeling competition.

Started 30 years ago as a local charity fundraiser, the world bog snorkeling championships is held every year in the country’s smallest town of Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales. Competitors have to snorkel up and down a 60m long trench of muddy bog water in a farmer’s field in the fastest time possible – preferably while wearing a ridiculous fancy dress costume.

It also includes bike bog snorkeling, wife carrying, stone skimming, and belly flopping.
