Four-legged cowboy herds cattle in Australia

Where have all the cowboys gone? This just might be a legitimate question in Australia soon. The Australian Center for Field Robotics at the University of Sydney recently released a farming robot: SwagBot.

Fitted with a camera and all-wheel drive, SwagBot can herd cows through difficult terrain. It can travel over obstacles and through shallow water. The scientists hope that SwagBot will eventually do a lot more than just herding and will be able to monitor the health of cattle as well as plants.
