This heartwarming harvest video is going viral
This video was posted by Taylor Stockwell, an Ohio native now living in California. She starts off saying, “I was already feeling really homesick this weekend when dad hit me with this awesome video.”
Awesome, indeed! And touching on the passion that generations of lifelong farmers feel to be a part of their harvest.
In the post, Stockwell said: “My Grandpa Roger has been unexpectedly sick, off and on, for the past year and a half. He’s been unable to get around completely by himself or farm since then, which has been really sad for him.
“This is a video of my dad and his friends hoisting my Grandpa up into the combine so that he can finish the last field of this harvest season, which he hasn’t been able to do for a couple years. Yes, that’s him wiping a tear from his eye and yes, I had an ugly (happy) cry at work. I think I had grain dust in my eyes all the way over here.”
The video has generated thousands of comments, tens of thousands of shares, and more than 2 million views.
“I love my family,” Stockwell said. “This is what it’s all about.”
