Dozens of Illinois farmers help harvest after fatal farm accident
After an Arthur, Illinois farmer passed away suddenly in September from a tragic farm accident, his neighbors wanted to honor the man and help harvest his 2017 corn crop. In fact, so many turned up last week on Cliff Kauffman’s farm to help harvest, some had to be turned away.
Kauffman, who did not like telling someone “No,” spent many mornings up at 3 a.m. just to get the chores done before he started his day. His daughter said her dad would have been honored.
