Kansas farmer shares his water preservation tactics

With an arctic chill in the air, irrigation and water may not be on many farmers’ minds right not, but it’s an issue that one fourth-generation farmer believes will be some of the most important for decades to come. Derek Sawyer shared this video earlier this week to explain some of the changes his farm is making to use the valuable resource more efficiently. As Sawyer states, irrigation in Central Kansas can mean the difference between having a 200 bushel corn corp or having nothing to harvest at all.
