Looking for some farm land in North Carolina? Well put your pen to paper for a farm essay contest.
After 18 years, Norma Burns is looking to retire from her 13-acre Bluebird Hill Farm and she wants to pass on the property to a special couple who is committed to farm life. The essay contest is called the “A Gift of Good Land” and in addition to the 200-word essay, applicants must submit a resume and a $300 entry fee. Burns plans to pick the 20 best essays and then have a team of judges make the final selection.
The deadline to enter is June 1.
