Ohio track star spends spring break on Kansas wildfire convoy

· April 19, 2017

This Ohio junior track standout missed practices and ditched popular spring break destinations for an opportunity to take a road trip with his dad and help with the wildfire relief.  Dustin Fraizer and his dad Terry were part of a 45-truck convoy to Ashland, Kansas, to help in the aftermath of the recent wildfires.

According to the Marion Star article, the Mount Gilead sprinter and powerlifter often works on a neighbor’s farm taking care of livestock after practice. The wildfire relief was an opportunity the father and son just couldn’t turn down.  As Fraizer said, “It was the best spring break that I’ve had in a few years.”
