Planting safety tips for drivers on rural roads

For farmers who are moving from one field to the next, they take many precautions to stay safe. However, it is also helpful when other drivers on the highway know what to do when they come up on a slow moving tractor. The Indiana State Department of Agriculture and Hoosier Ag Today partnered to bring this safety video to drivers to help navigate roadway safety protocols.

ISDA director Bruce Kettler explained. “Just like your family or occupation may have a busy season, so does farm families.” Kettler continued, “To ensure everyone’s safety, Hoosier Ag Today, several state agencies and I have joined forces to ask all motorist to be alert, be patient and be responsible as you share the road with farm equipment this spring.”
