For wildlife that rely on natural habitat to survive, there is no better partner than ranchers. Maggie Hanna with Hanna Ranch in Colorado emphasizes the importance of wildlife and having access to large, intact landscapes. When landscapes get divided, the success of that species is threatened. Ranchers protect and enhance ecosystems through livestock grazing.

Maggie says, “They are the people who are in touch with every part of the ecosystem and in that sense, there is no more efficient way to manage the large landscape than by the ranchers.”
