Reporter puts down mic to save horses from California wildfires

A reporter covering the California wildfires made news herself when she jumped in to help save some horses from a family ranch. Kristine Lazar from CBS2/KCAL 9 was reporting last week from Gibson Ranch, a family-owned horse boarding and equine event facility, when flames began the engulf the animals’ shelter. With no firefighters on scene yet, Lazar and her cameraman jumped in to help.
