Somedays on the farm we get to put the truck in four-wheel drive and show the kids things they might not get to see again for a long time – and sometimes we hope it's a long time before they do. . Blessings can be a curse at times, including having hay fields next to the river. When the weather cooperates, they make good and plentiful hay. When the weather doesn't, we can end up with fields better for fishing than feed. That's where we are today, so we took a minute to document it. And the river won't crest until late tomorrow sometime. . I have to say that even when things are bad, my husband tends to see the glass half full. (Actually no pun intended that time). "We'll just plant beans," he said. And I guess beans will have to do.
