Runners: Why not train for a farm trail running festival?

Looking to train for your next long-distance running event? Look no further than the Salomon Trail Running Festival at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine held every Memorial Day weekend. Nearly 2,000 registered participants and spectators from across the U.S. and Canada descend upon the farm every May for a two-day extravaganza of trail races, beer drinking, barbeque, potluck salads and desserts, old time music, and fun family events. The current seven races are a 10km,  5km, new kid’s race, canicross 5km, 25km, 50km ultra and  50 mile ultra, all on beautiful trails.

Pineland Farms provide local milk and fresh seasonal produce to many area retailers as well as our their own market. Pineland’s Valley Farm is a world-class dairy  that serves as an educational facility for children and adults to learn about sustainable food and farming practices and their Equestrian Center offers top-level dressage programs for riders and trainers of all levels in a premiere facility.
