While TikTok is nothing new, it has received more attention from those of who are over the age of 25 during this time of quarantine. For those who haven’t ventured over to the app, TikTok is a short film video app that has taken the youngsters by storm since its release in the United States in 2018. Just like any other high school student, FFA members have their fun on TikTok, while at the same time educating their peers.
Once upon a time, I was that millennial who thought they never would download TikTok, that there was no way I was going to get hooked on the app — how wrong I was. It is not like I don’t understand entertaining social media — I grew up on Vine for goodness sake. However, throughout my time on TikTok, I realized Vine walked so TikTok could run.
Like many apps these days, TikTok uses a recommendation algorithm to show you content that you videos that you will find interesting on the For You page. So naturally I constantly see dogs, cows, pranks, and dances that I so clumsily fail to master. But I also notice all the FFA related content on my feed as well. Everyone from students, to advisors, and alumni representing the organization they love so much. This is a great creative outlet for students to express how they feel and what they are going through during these uncertain times.
So while I was scrolling through TikTok for a few minutes — OK let’s be real, a few hours — I realized I wanted to compile a list of FFA favorites. Check out the list below to see the eight best FFA TikToks.
What is sleep?
