The way this little gal watches her Uncle Tento with such intent melts my heart. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Jurni is 3 years old and soaking up everything and anything around her. I snapped a few pictures of her watching Kent work horses this weekend and they quickly turned into my favorites. While everyone else was talking and doing other things, Jurni just stood there quietly and watched her uncle work. I desperately wanted to read her mind and know what she was thinking; what she was learning. She’s always had such big love for Kent since the day she was born, but the older she gets, the more I see her actually drawing certain traits from him and it’s so inspiring. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It makes me think; am I watching and listening intently to the things happening to me? Am I going through life just to get by or am I walking with a child-like heart, watching and learning the things that will set me up for success? They a say a child’s brain is like a sponge; soaking up everything it comes into contact with. But, why stop doing that as we become adults? Why don’t we intentionally keep “soaking up” new things & see how far we can expand our hearts and minds? The things we can achieve become endless when we are actively pursuing them; when we are actively engaged with our surroundings and those around us who are working on themselves as well. I pray you all have a blessed weekend and a happy New Year. I also challenge you to think about your new year goals and aspirations, and to step out of your comfort zone this coming year in order to grow. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #theeverygirl #ranchlife #madimccall #lifestyleblogger #westernlifestyle
