Rowdy says “HAYYYYYY – will you be my Valentine? Please don’t say neigh!” ?? . . Day 2 of the Farm Photo Challenge from @texasfarmbureau features our newest resident- Rowdy! We raise cattle for profit, but Jessica likes to train horses to compete as an amateur in versatility ranch horse competitions. We use those same horses for work on the farm with moving our cattle. Rowdy is a 2 year old baby who will be trained here at home to learn the ropes and maybe compete someday. Nom nom nom! Little Dot is enjoying her hay tots! All the goats love the hay tots, aka hay cubes. I use them to supplement their hay supply. It adds a bit of alfalfa and they have very little waste to their diet. One of the dangers is the goats possibly choking on them when they eat them too fast, to get around this problem I fill them up on hay first so they aren’t hungry when they get them… this means they eat them a lot slower. I also put a lot of bins out so they don’t have to fight over them. #agdaily, #barrierebc, #cannycrofter, #goatsofinstagram, #bcagriculture, #alfatechaycubes, #bcgoats
