We are in full swing of calving 2019! Calving always brings some tears but mostly smiles. Calving brings you to swear a little but mostly it brings you to your knees. Calving is hard work but most days you don’t realize how hard it really is. Calving is emotional. Calving is rewarding. Calving reminds us that death is only a breath away but also life is just a breath away as well. Calving tests your relationships but don’t give up. Calving makes some great photo opportunities. Calving means that spring is just around the corner and that branding season will start in a month. Calving means that there is a future ahead. Calving means that your laundry pile doubles, your front entry is full of Bog Boots, smelly gloves and mud. Calving means that your house also might have a couple of extra cold and wet visitors, periodically. Calving means that date nights will be in the pastures not in a restaurant. Calving means that you make milk bottles at least twice a day. Calving brings anticipation. Calving, lets you know what kind of bulls you have. Calving sometimes brings out very mad mamas. Calving means that you live on granola bars and pop. Calving means that the horse colts get to further their education in being a good ranch horse. Calving is your new work out problem. Calving always wakes up Mother Nature. She throws it all at us snow, rain, sun, cold and even maybe a cyclone. Calving brings youth back into your place. Calving brings us tears but mostly smiles.
