Since fair season is among us, I thought I would do a little #throwbackthursday! . . . Growing up I spent 5 of my summers halter braking, feeding, walking, bathing and taking care of my 4-H steers in preparation for fair. While it was a lot of work, to take a ranch raised steer to the county fair was most rewarding. . . . I learned so much about cattle, the beef industry and made many friends along the way. I would highly encourage anyone contemplating raising an animal for fair to do it, even if it is only for a few a years!
