Donations pour in for young New York farmer after barn fire

Published:

Donations from as far away as Australia, Poland, Ireland, and Italy have came in for a young New York farmer after losing his farm to a fire last Friday night. A GoFundMe was set up for 21-year-old Dylan Hapeman after a devastating fire destroyed the High Ridge Farm barn, his equipment, and 52 animals, including his entire herd of 40 dairy cows.

According to the GoFundMe page, the fire is a huge set back for Hapeman who poured himself into the farm.  As Hapeman said “somehow, a barn and equipment can be replaced. But not the friends inside that barn.”

So far $7,590 of their $10,000 goal has been raised through the fundraising page.
