Missouri Cattlemen’s offers $6K reward in cattle shootings

The Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and Johnson County Cattlemen’s are putting up a $6,000 reward after two steers and a pregnant heifer were shot last week near Lone Jack.

According to KSHB, Valley Oaks Steak Company lost one steer Sunday, another was found shot in the same pasture Tuesday, and on Thursday a pregnant heifer was found suffering from a gunshot wound and had to be euthanized.

While Valley Oaks Steak Company is planning a controversial feedlot and processing plant expansion in Lone Jack, the Missouri Cattlemen’s said these shootings go beyond trying to stop modern agriculture. It’s evil.

Last week the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association posted this Facebook post offering up the reward in exchange for information that leads to a felony conviction of who is shooting the cattle:
