What do Syngenta, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Bayer have in common? They are among the ag-related companies that have made the Top 20 list in the latest Science and Science Careers’ annual Top Employers Survey. This survey polls employees in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, and related industries to determine the 20 best employers in these industries as well as their driving characteristics.

Respondents to the web-based survey were asked to rate companies based on 23 characteristics, including financial strength, easy adaptation to change, and a research-driven environment. Syngenta’s ranking sits at No. 14; Boehringer Ingelheim jumped one spot to 15th, while Bayer joined the list at 19th. These businesses were recognized for things such as innovation and their support of social responsibility. Other ag related companies were on the list, such as Novozymes, part of the BioAg Alliance, which came in third. For the third consecutive year, Regeneron of Tarrytown, New York, received the top honor.
