ICYMI last week was the third annual Farmer Wave Week. Farmer Wave Week is the brainchild of Todd Collins, general manager of Iowa’s Best Country, KIX 101.1, News Talk 1230 KFJB, and the PA announcer of Iowa Speedway in Newton. Since Collins’ first YouTube Wave debut in 2014, the celebration has gone viral. Governor Terry Branstad has proclaimed the first full week in November an Iowa holiday for the past two years. Collins said in this year’s YouTube video, Farmer Wave Week is not just for Iwegans (a native or inhabitant of Iowa) … he invited farmers from around the world to share their best #farmerwave with him last week. We think the Farmers Wave should be celebrated all year long … here are a few of our favorites from social media.
