This is our crop harvest. No combine, no grain cart, no hired hands. It's a swather ran by my brother, tractors and balers ran by my husband and my parents (and sometimes me), some meals eaten from a Coleman cooler or on the hood of the car, and a whole lot of long days. No grain goes to the bin or the elevator from this place. Our harvest consists of making hay bales to feed our cattle during the harsh winter- from December to May the hay has to keep pregnant and nursing mother cows fed, healthy and warm. Haying season may look a little different than wheat field harvest, but the end result is no less important. At the end of the day, I'm always thankful for the 2% raising our food, regardless of what their harvest looks like. Happy harvest! Love, Richelle

“Crops are looking good, Dad!” -Stetson We have an agronomist that scouts our fields every week and updates us on crop health, soil quality/moisture, crop maturity, disease and insect pressure.. all the things! He gives us recommendations on when to irrigate and when/if to add fertilizer and disease treatments. Our agronomist is a vital part of our operation and helps ensure we’re on track for the best yields possible! Even though we have professionals watching our fields for us, Stetson still begs to go check them himself every day. Levi has been so patient with taking him along and teaching him what to look for. He must be learning a lot because he’s right, the crops are looking good! And for that, we’re so thankful! ??? #FarmRaised #Homegrown #Nebraska #Grow19 #FarmKidsRock #AgDaily #MyFarmMyYield

Slow down, beautiful. What's the rush? Stay a child as long as you can- because being an adult ain't all it is cracked up to be. Being single isn't as sad as the movies want you to believe. Motherhood is rewarding and amazing- but it can wait. Don't rush through life. Stop living for tomorrow, for next weekend, for next month, or next year. Whatever it is- do it today. Slow down, girlfriend. The work that isn't done today will get done tomorrow. Don't kill yourself to prove a point. No one wants their headstone to say they wish they'd spent more time pushing paper. To put it differently, if you let work kill you- your job description will be in the paper before your obituary. Slow down. This place where you are today- it won't look the same tomorrow. No matter how good or how bad. Take your time. Take it a step at a time. A day at a time. Each day is a present- meant to be unwrapped slowly. Love, Richelle ❤
