Thief takes off with Missouri FFA student-built trailer from fair

Published:

A Missouri FFA chapter is seeking the public’s help in locating a student-built trailer that was stolen from the FFA exhibit at the Ozark Empire Fair Grounds in Springfield last week. According to Sarcoxie FFA advisor Jeffrey Rush, the theft happened sometime between Monday afternoon July 24 and Wednesday morning July 25.

The trailer was built in Ag Construction Class at Sarcoxie High School. Rush said the student put a lot of time and effort in constructing the project for himself and his family. It was going to be used on their farm and was taken to the fair to exhibit his workmanship.

The trailer is a black with silver pinstripping 18′ Car Carrier Trailer with diamond plate decking and 30″ dove tail. It is a 2 5/16 ball with a Holland Jack and two 5200lb Lippert axles. The tires are 235 80 R16 tires.

Rush asks if the trailer is found, please contact the Springfield Missouri Police Department and reference case # 18-28847.
