When you think of a farm wife what comes to mind? Farm mom? Farm kid? Farmher? My point…there are so many different ways and avenues to be involved on a farm and ranch! I think the gratitude that people should feel when they bite into a loaf of bread or cut into a steak should be so exceptionally high that they cannot contain themselves. Knowing just how much went into that seemingly simple food, how much true blood sweat and tears (and a lot of fruit snacks and wipes in our case with kids in tow?) that’s my goal with my Instagram. Not to hate on the haters but to love on the consumers and show what hard work goes into the food they eat! We are so proud of what we do and love sharing our life and our hard work with the world. And for the record-all of those titles listed above are often crammed inside the small cabs of our combines, tractors and feed trucks for hours upon hours and they are such treasured times for us. Of course there are bad days and hard seasons but we love what we do and love doing it together!

The girls are still laying pretty well with the weather turning colder. ??? I’ve started adding oyster shell grit to their scraps every morning because I noticed one lady’s shells weren’t fully closing up on one end. The grit seems to have fixed that. ?✨ #chickengeek
