GROWMARK Foundation offers $110K in student scholarships

The GROWMARK Foundation will again offer 55 scholarships, each at $2,000, to students pursuing agriculture and business-related degrees or certificates at colleges, universities, and technical schools in the United States and Ontario, Canada.

At the time of application, students must be high school seniors or equivalent, enrolled in a university, community college, or technical school for the Fall semester of 2024, or enrolled and in good standing at a university, community college, or technical school.

“At GROWMARK, we want to support students who are pursuing careers in agriculture or business-related fields,” said GROWMARK CEO Mark Orr. “These students will be the future labor force in the agriculture industry, and we believe it’s important to help them achieve their academic goals.”

Scholarship applications can be accessed here and are due April 15, 2024. Students who are awarded a scholarship will be notified on May 15, 2024.

Scholarships will be awarded in the following categories:

  • 20 agriculture scholarships (bachelor’s degree or higher): Focus on crop sciences, ag business, ag communications, ag economics, etc. It does not include food science, animal sciences, veterinary medicine, or research.
  • 20 agriculture scholarships (associate’s degree or certification): Focus on crop sciences, ag business, etc. It does not include food science, animal sciences, veterinary medicine, or research.
  • 15 business scholarships (bachelor’s degree or higher): Focus on business administration, human resources, marketing, accounting, IT, communications, etc. It does not include those majors with a specific agriculture focus/component.

Students who have previously received a GROWMARK Foundation scholarship are ineligible to apply again; however, previous applicants who did not receive an award may still apply as long as they meet the other requirements. Employees currently working within the FS & GROWMARK System are not eligible to apply for the GROWMARK Foundation Scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded based on information collected in the submitted application, including academic achievement, school and community involvement, and essay responses.

Selections will be made by an independent team of agribusiness and business professionals selected by GROWMARK, and their decision will be final. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the student’s account at their respective school.
