Ag communication internship application now open

Internships play a critical role for college students who are passionate about gaining hands-on experience and making connections within the agriculture industry. To work with students whose passion stems in agricultural marketing and communication, AAEA — The Ag Communicators Network announced that it is accepting applications for a marketing internship with Vive Crop Protection. The internship will run during  the summer of 2022 and the application must be summitted by April 18th.

Vive Crop Protection is looking for a driven, creative self-starter with an interest in agriculture marketing and communications. A marketing intern will assist with the day-to-day marketing and communication needs of a company on the rise. Vive’s intern will be involved in social media, customer relations, marketing strategy, and much more.

This is a remote internship (with possibility of travel for hands-on experience) in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment. Applicable interns must be an undergraduate student studying marketing, communications, public relations or another applicable field and an interest in agriculture is preferred.

This opportunity will provide a range of experiences including:

  • Running social media platforms daily including content creation, scheduling, and running analytics reports.
  • Capturing consumer testimonials focused in relationship-building, interviewing, and video editing
  • Utilizing a CRM and CMS tool efficiently and effectively
  • Positioning a product in the ag space, and much more

Candidates should be familiar and efficient with social media platforms, Microsoft Suite, and possess basic photography skills.

The intern will earn a $4,500 stipend for the 8- to 10-week assignment, $1,000 toward travel costs as well as a paid registration to attend Agricultural Media Summit in Raleigh, North Carolina from July 16-20, 2022. The marketing internship is made possible through AAEA The Ag Communicators Network’s Professional Improvement Foundation.

Internship applications are available on the AAEA The Ag Communicators Network website and it must be postmarked or emailed no later than Monday, April 18, 2022.
