AGDAILY launches page on social media’s new MeWe platform

MeWe? Well, yes!

In an effort to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-shifting social media landscape, AGDAILY has set up a destination page on MeWe, one of the fastest-growing social media outlets available today.

I know, I know. You may be scratching your head at that, asking yourself: “What is MeWe?”

MeWe is a competitor to Facebook, which is important as the social media giant itself gets entwined in various scandals and complaints of stifling the number of posts that reach your friends and fans. Facebook is still king, for sure, but to be a good agvocate, it’s important to connect with the public and fellow farmers in as many ways as possible. We hope to do more of this via MeWe.

MeWe launched in 2016 at South by Southwest (SXSW), where it was named SXSW Start-Up of the Year for Innovative World Technology. The platform has more than 6 million members worldwide and is growing rapidly — it grew 405 percent last year and is growing twice as fast this year. Best of all, there’s no newsfeed manipulation: 100 percent of friends and page followers on MeWe see 100 percent of posts, in the order that they’re posted. Compare that to less than 3 percent of reach on typical Facebook posts.
