National Farmers Union has released the updated Farmer’s Share of the food dollar for items typically served during the Thanksgiving holiday.

This year, the National Farmers Union has released its annual 2023 numbers of the Farmer’s Share of the Food dollar for Fourth of July cookouts.

According to National Farmers Union, for every dollar Americans spend on Thanksgiving meals this year, producers will earn approximately 14.3 cents.

For every dollar consumers spend on food, the farmer receives just 14.8 cents, according to the latest figures from the USDA.
