Soybean cyst nematode continues to be the leading cause of soybean yield loss in North America. BASF Agricultural Solutions and The SCN Coalition have joined forces for the second consecutive year to promote SCN Action Month, a monthlong initiative to provide growers with the tools and information they need to defend against this devastating pest.

BASF and The SCN Coalition are providing free soil test kits and will publish videos for farmers to help manage their fields against soybean cyst nematode.

The SCN Coalition encourage soybean growers to check roots now to determine if their current SCN management program is effective.

The soybean cyst nematode (SCN) is the most damaging pathogen of soybean in the United States and Canada and it is spreading rapidly.

The collection represents the wide range of soybean cyst nematode populations in soybean growers’ fields across the United States.

If soybean cyst nematode is left unmanaged, population densities and the potential for yield losses steadily increase, according to The SCN Coalition.
