2024 AE50 award winners showcase farming innovations

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers AE50 is a unique awards program dedicated to honoring groundbreaking product advancements within agriculture, food, and biological systems.

The awards are presented by ASABE’s Resource magazine, aiming to acknowledge the 50 most pioneering products introduced to the market annually across these sectors. A panel of expert engineers meticulously selects the winners, using criteria that emphasizes innovation, engineering advancement, and market impact as the key determinants.

Top AE50 winners will be recognized with the prestigious Davidson Prize, announced in early 2024 at the virtual ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference, February 11 to 14, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Here are the ASABE AE50 winners

AGCO Corp: Six products were featured as AE50 winners from AGCO Corp., including the Fendt 22 Vario Gen3 Series, Fendt 600 Vario DP Series Tractor, Massey Ferguson 3 Series Specialty Tractor, Massey Ferguson 500R Series Sprayer, and Massey Ferguson 9S Series Tractor.

AEF e.V.: Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation

Alpha AgTech LLC: Berry Impact Recorder

Art’s Way Manufacturing: CFB26

Bobcat Company: Bobcat Premium Power Performance

CABA Tech LLC: CABA DLI Detective

Case IH: Model Year 2024 Steiger 425 – 645, Steiger 715 Quadtrac, Toolbar Lift System for Case IH Early Riser 2120 Rigid Trailing Split-Row Planter, and AFS Furrow Command.

CLAAS of America: Seven CLAAS product innovations were among this year’s AE50 Awards, including the CLAAS Conditioner with Double Roller Drive, CLAAS DISCO 9700 RC AUTO SWATHER, CLAAS Net Wrap System on VARIANT 560 RF, CLAAS SMART DENSITY, CLAAS CEMOS for Tractors, and CLAAS XERION 12 Series TRION were all recognized.

Danfoss Power Solutions: EC-C1700B-420 Electric Converter

Danfoss Editron electric drivetrains are designed to control the flow of hybrid and electric power in vehicle, machine, and marine applications. Converters are specifically developed for electric or hybrid drive trains in mobile work machines, buses, harbor cranes, or marine vessels.

Deere & Company: ExactShot Liquid Fertilizer System

Groupe Anderson Inc.: MergePro Hay Merger

Hagie Manufacturing Company: Hagie ExactDrop, a unique in-season nutrient application tool that unlocks full boom width productivity due to a lightweight and flexible fiber composite drop structure.

John Deere: Both the 1 Series Round Baler and the See and Spray Premium Precision Upgrade were recognized at the AE50.

MacDon Industries LTD: M2 Series Windrowers and D2 Series Draper Headers

New Holland: Both the T7 Long Wheelbase with PLM Intelligence and the T6.180 Methane Power were recognized.
