Drool Log — ‘Twas The Night Before Beefmas’ classic remake

· December 12, 2022

Christmas and Prime Rib go together like well … Christmas and the classic poem, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner’s spin leaves us all “drooling with thoughts of au jus” thanks to this clever, narrative poetry.

The vivid imagery in the poem certainly has us drooling (and thinking about sledding, too!) And, what’s better to fuel up your family than a “plump, juicy roast from the finest of steer”?

Plus, if you’re looking for help with the spices, the poem has a solid list. More recipe tips are available on the Beef. It’s What’s For Dinner website.

“More rapid than eagles, those spices they came,
And I whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
Now, Pepper! Now, Salt! Now, Garlic and Thyme!
On, Rosemary! Oregano! Be one with that prime!
To the top of the porch! To the top of the grill!
Now cook away! Cook away! Cook away you will.”

So, to all of our farm families: “Happy Beefmas to all, and to all a good bite!”
