Fires and Sheep...While these fires rage around the country. It is time we start talking about proper management of these areas. So to those state and federal leaders, who continue to say these fires will continue happening until we make our sacrifice to the "Climate Change Gods". Maybe it is time you start taking responsibility for the poorly manages forests and the attacks against grazing and livestock It is time to take care of the forest and provide an economic, safe and sustainable opportunity for this country. All this while feeding and clothing our growing population.

Explanation of wildfires in relation to the decline of livestock

While wildfires devastated many western states, many agriculturalist also watched watched in fear. Many livelihoods went up in smoke in addition to communities. One rancher took to his Facebook page to explain how livestock grazing could help future wildfires. 

Carson Jorgensen said on his Facebook post, “While these fires rage around the country. It is time we start talking about proper management of these areas. So to those state and federal leaders, who continue to say these fires will continue happening until we make our sacrifice to the ‘Climate Change Gods.’ Maybe it is time you start taking responsibility for the poorly manages forests and the attacks against grazing and livestock. It is time to take care of the forest and provide an economic, safe and sustainable opportunity for this country. All this while feeding and clothing our growing population.”

The video wraps up, “While talking about fire mitigation and prevention, it is time that farmers and ranchers take their seat at the table. When it comes to fires and healthy forests, livestock and agriculture is not the problem — it is the solution.”
