After getting a recent tip, Fresno, California detectives discovered 2,500 stolen beehives — worth nearly $1 million — at an orchard outside of town. The hives are believed to be stolen over the last three years in California and hail from 12 different beekeepers as far away as Montana and Missouri.
Pavel Tveretinov was arrested on April 28 on suspicion of possessing stolen property and released on $10,000 bail. He is expected to be charged with possession of stolen property and grand theft.
