Historic video honors 1957 Swiss spaghetti harvest

In 1957, the BBC released a historic report on the spring spaghetti harvest. One of the mildest winters in Switzerland’s memory, the video showcases the bumper spaghetti crop. 

While we can all appreciate the improvements in technology and harvesting, there’s something serene about images of Swiss women carefully plucking strands of spaghetti while laying them out in the sun.
