Oregon ranch keeps Team USA warm at Winter Olympics

· February 8, 2018

If you’re planning on watching the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony Friday night, be sure to check out Team USA’s threads … after all an Oregon sheep ranch had something to do with keeping them warm in South Korea. Since the 2014 Winter Games, Imperial Stock Ranch, which spreads across 32,000 acres near the town of Shaniko in north central Oregon, has been supplying the wool to Ralph Lauren.

The luxury clothing designer once again chose the Imperial Stock Ranch American Merino wool yarn program provided by National Spinning Co., Inc., for the knit items in both the Opening and Closing Ceremony uniforms for Team USA at the 2018 Winter Games. Also interesting, this year’s Ralph Lauren’s limited-edition opening ceremony parka and limited-edition closing ceremony bomber jacket include a streamlined heating component, designed with the intent to keep Team USA’s athletes warm in PyeongChang’s cold temperatures.
