Farmer goes through the process of making sorghum

· December 7, 2018

Ethan Seyer, a farmer from Southeast Missouri, shows the process of making sorghum. In a video, filmed by Liftoff, Ethan shows the every stage of creating sorghum — from planting the seeds, cutting, pressing, cooking, and finally to canning. The process is very interesting and delicate.

Making sorghum is an unique and special process that takes time and patience. After planting and tending to the plants, harvest comes next — cutting the plant that will be pressed for the juices. Boiling the juices concentrates the sugars, which creates a green foam that is skimmed off while it cooks.  The meticulous process takes patience and helping hands.  This video has us craving biscuits to go with the final product.
