Ad parodying Humane Society of the U.S. commercials is seasoned with right amount of sauce

· December 5, 2017

Many of us open up our wallets as well as our hearts during the holidays. HumaneWatch is warning folks to be careful what groups you give money to — namely, don’t get suckered by the sappy commercials that define The Humane Society of the United States’s fundraising efforts.

HumaneWatch is airing a new TV spot Tuesday evening on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that parodies HSUS’ weepy commercials, before highlighting how little HSUS money actually goes to shelters. It ends by urging people to give directly to the right people: your local humane shelter.

We are all aware of how anti-agriculture HSUS is, and their actions contaminate many areas of animal rights. HumaneWatch has also just released the 2017 edition of the “Not Your Local Humane Society: A 50-State Report on the Humane Society of the United States’ Lack of Support for America’s Dog and Cat Shelters.” Admittedly, we don’t necessarily need more reasons to be unhappy with HSUS, but this report shows just how meager the organization’s animal-assistance funding really is.
