New music from Willie Nelson celebrates rescue horses

· May 28, 2019

Even after his 86th birthday, Willie Nelson is still releasing new music about the things that matter the most to him. The new music video for his single, “Ride Me Back Home,” was recently released and dedicated to his rescue horses.

Most of the video was filmed at Nelson’s personal ranch, Luck Ranch, where over 70 rescue horses roam free. According to KSAT12, Nelson said he calls his ranch Luck because explains, “When you’re here, you’re in Luck, and when you’re not, you’re out of Luck.”

Nelson dedicated the mini music documentary to two horses who are close to his heart: Sgt. Reckless USMC — she’s the most decorated war horse in modern history — having completed 51 solo missions during the Korean War, saving the lives of countless American soldiers. He also dedicated it to Willamina, the most decorated mule in Luck.
