Buying bacon? Farmland to donate portion of sales to FFA

Published:

A leading brand of bacon, sausage, and ham, is proud to partner with the National FFA to support the future of agriculture. With every Farmland item purchased now through September 30, Farmland will donate $0.10 to FFA, up to $75,000.

“Since 1959, Farmland has been partnering with local American farmers to provide our loyal consumers with food they can trust and feel good about serving to their families. We are honored to partner with FFA to continue inspiring America’s future farmers to produce quality foods and raise awareness of the importance of agricultural education,” said Megan Thomas, senior brand manager for the Farmland brand at Smithfield Foods.

Participating products include everything from Farmland bacon and breakfast sausage to boneless ham and lunch meats.

In addition to the donation, Farmland will provide grants to four Midwestern FFA chapters later this year, providing financial support to high school students working on animal care projects. And on Oct. 25- 28, Farmland will be a sponsor of the 90th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis.

“We’re thrilled to work with brands like Farmland that share our dedication and passion for the farming community. Our goal is to develop students’ potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education, and we couldn’t do this without the support of our partners,” said Molly Ball, president of the National FFA Foundation.
