Case IH & Welker Farms team up to inspire next-generation producers

Published:

For more than 175 years, Case IH has been educating, inspiring, and helping producers optimize their operation, from field prep to harvest. To further that pursuit, Case IH is partnering with Montana-based farmstead, Welker Farms Inc. With a combined 284 years in agriculture, Case IH and Welker Farms will aim to inspire future farmers worldwide.

Welker Farms, in Shelby, Montana, has been in the Welker family since 1912. Third-generation farmer, Bob Welker, along with sons Nick and Scott, aim to carry on their family-farm legacy. Throughout the 10,000-acre farm, the Welkers grow spring wheat, winter wheat, yellow peas, and lentils. To help streamline and enhance the midsized family farm’s productivity, Case IH has provided Welker Farms with an equipment lineup that features an Axial-Flow combine, AFS Harvest Command, and AFS Connect.

In 2012, to celebrate 100 years of successful farming, Nick produced a video featuring the farm’s operation. With more than 800,000 views, the video became an instant success. Since then, the Welkers have become YouTube sensations, with more than 320,000 channel subscribers. Their weekly videos feature everyday life on the farm, their successes, and challenges they face each season.

Case IH and its employees, dealers and their families know intimately what life on the farm is like. Farming millions of acres all over North America, they understand the challenges producers and growers face every day.

To kick off the official partnership, the Welker family will join Case IH at World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, from February 11 to 13. Attendees are invited to stop by the Case IH booth to meet the Welkers and participate in signings and meet-and-greet events throughout the show.
